Between Wood Duck Court and Lexington A venue - The roadway with be <br />realigned and constructed with a typical section of one 12 foot through lane in each <br />direction, fi ve foot shoulders, and curb and gutfer on the north side. <br /> <br />. Between Hamline Avenue and the new T-Interseetion - The roadway will be <br />cold in place recycled and the north shoulder paved to a width of 8 feet. <br /> <br />. Existing County Road I in front of Turtle Lake Elementary School - The <br />roadway will be cold in place recycled, concrete curb and gutter will be constructed <br />and the roadway will end in a cul-de-sac. This portion of the roadway will be <br />turned back to the City of Shoreview. <br /> <br />. Lexington A venue - A signal will be constructed at the new intersection and <br />left and right turn lanes will be added. <br /> <br />See Figure 2 for proposed typical sections and Sheets 1,2 and 3 for proposed plan layouts. <br /> <br />The project will also have the following design elements <br /> <br />Alignment <br />County Road I will be realigned. The proposed project includes realigning the Lexington <br />A venue intersection south of the Fire Station and matching the existing County Road I west <br />of Wood Duck Court. County Road I and Lexington Avenue will meet at a single <br />interseclion. <br /> <br />Traffic Signals <br />Traffic Signals will be constructed at the County Road I and Lexington A venue intersection <br />to increase capacity of that intersection. <br /> <br />Soils <br />Organic soils to a depth of 21 feet exist from Station 14+50 to Station 16+00. A floated <br />embankment will be constructed through the organic soils. <br /> <br />Urban/Rural Cross Section <br />The roadway will be a combination urban/rural section. A rural section will be constructed <br />through the organic soils from station 14+50 to 16+00. From Station 16+00 to Lexington <br />A venue there will be curb and gutter on the north side of the roadway and a ditch on the <br />south side. Curb and gutter will be constructed bec.ause the aqueducts and other physical <br />constraints preclude ditches. <br /> <br />Traffic <br />The posted speed limit will be changed from 40 mph to 35 mph due to introduction of <br />horizontal curves.
