.

.

.

Gatewav Business Center - Arden Hills. MN

EAW

September 2001

23.

The ISP was required for all new projects having more than 2,000 parking spots. An ISP
was also required for new projects having between 1,000 and 2,000 parking spaces if the
busiest roadway within one-quarter mile of the project had existing traffic levcls of
greater than 8,333 vehicles per day. The proposed office development will include a
range of 1,069 and 2,351 parking spaces, and is sited within one-quarter mile of I-35W.
The development would therefore have required an ISP,
Stationary Source Air Emissions. Describe the type, sources, quantities and compositions of any
emissions from stationary sources of air emissions such as boilers, exhaust stacks or fugitive dust
sources. Include any hazardous air pollutants (consult EAW Guidelines for a listing) and any
greenhouse gases (such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide) and ozone-depleting
chemicals (chloro-fluorocarbons, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons or sulfur hexafluoride). Also
describe any proposed pollution prevention techniques and proposed air pollution control devices.
Describe the impacts on air quality.

The project will include the installation of natural gas-fired space heating devices in the
buildings. Natural gas combustion will generate small amounts of pollutants that will not
significantly affect air quality in the area,

The proposed office development scenario includes surface and elevated parking deck
options, These functions are not expected to produee extraordinary air emissions,
Standard rooftop unit mechanical ventilation systems will be utilized for the structures,
No additional pollution control devices will be required,

Page 25
