Opportunity grants are available to fund <br />local initiativcs to devclop project-specific and site-spccific land use plans that: <br /> <br />· Plan to demonstrate compact and connected land usc pattcrns that are linked to transit <br />wherc available, or build capacity for transit service, and support walkable <br />ncighborhoods. <br />· Propose a mix ofuscs, including a mix of housing typcs and costs, and an economic mix <br />near commercial, civic or other uses that facilitate daily needs and community activitics. <br />· Plan to protcct and enhance natural resources. <br />· Show potential for cvolving to projects eligible to receive future LCDA funding in the <br />development catcgory. <br /> <br />Eligible uses of funds include prcparation of master plans or detail cd redevelopment plans; <br />markct studies to assist in dctcrmining rctail/office/housing mix and cost; conducting dcsign <br />workshops and dcvcloping design standards; zoning and land usc implcmcntation tools, such <br />as overlay zones, spccial zoning districts. <br /> <br />Our particular grant requcst is for master planning assistancc for thc TCAAP propcrty in the <br />amount of S 1 00,000.
