ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
MAY 28, 2002

12

Mayor Probst stated he had received a letter from a resident of Hunters Court
indicating they were not in support of this proposal.

.

G. PMP Proiect for 2003

City Engineer Brown presented the 2003 CIP projects.

Council Member Larson stated it was important to keep the City infrastructure up
and he stated what was being proposed was a good proposal.

Mr. Lynch stated this would also impact possible investors and could affect the
City's bond rating.

Council Member Rem stated she had reservations about the storm water, utility
plan for that neighborhood. She stated she was not sure this was going to be the
best way to deal with this situation. She expressed concern about using
infonnation from three years ago. She requested the residents be given sufficient
notice regarding this proposal.

Mayor Probst stated he assumed there would be modifications made to the
feasibility study originally presented. He indicated it was Council's responsibility
to maintain the infrastructure of the community and this was a logical place to
start.

.

Council Member Rem expressed concern about spending as much money as was
being recommended for the Ingerson neighborhood. She stated she did not
disagree that the infrastructure needed to be maintained. She stated just because
they had the money, did not mean it should all be spent in one area.

Council Member Aplikowski requested an alternative to the Weir situation and
also alternatives to closing Hamline A venue. She requested they look at the storm
sewer system also.

Council Member Grant stated there seemed to be a difference in the memorandum
and the item on their agenda. He asked if they were talking about the PMP project
for 2003, or where they talking about the 2003 CIP scope. He stated he was
hesitant to go back into the Ingerson neighborhood just because they had the
money at this time. He stated this would not be a good decision. In term of

.
