Highway 96 <br />Arden Hills, MN 55112-3923 <br /> <br />Re: Contract for Professional Planning, Engineering, Research and Related Services, Pursuant <br />to the Creation and Implementation of a Land Use Master Plan, for the Approximately <br />1,050 Acre Portion of the Twin Cities Army Ammtmition Plant Propert)', to be <br />Transfened to thc City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />This agreement is entered into today between the City of Arden Hills (hereafter referred to as the <br />City) and a tean1 of consultants including Dahlgren, Shardlow and Uban, Inc. (DSU), SRF <br />Consultants, Inc. (SRF), Applied Ecological Services (AES), and Excensus, Inc. (The team is <br />hereafter refened to as the Consultants). <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The objective of the Consultants services shall be to assist the City with the preparation and <br />implementation of a land use master plan, and to guide the development of approximatcly 1,050 <br />acres located within the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant property in Arden Hills. This <br />master plan shall reflect the vision of the Arden Hills City Council, following input from the <br />public, numerous federal, state, regional and local agencies, the project Advisory Panel, city staff, <br />and the Consultants. <br /> <br />The preparation and adoption of this plan must be accomplished through an open and inclusive <br />public process, characterized by timcly and complete communication with all stakeholders, and <br />multiple opportunities for public input. Therefore, the objective for these services is really two- <br />fold: a master plan for this important property that will accomplish the city's goals, and a <br />successful process for the creation of that product. <br /> <br />DSU'S ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS THE LEAD FIRM <br /> <br />Each of the consultant firms is a party to this agreement and is individually responsible for <br />completing their assigned work and delivering their specified work products.
