DSU, and John Shardlow specifically, shall also serve as the primary <br />contact for thc City, and serve as a liaison betwccn this projcct tcam and thc Dcvelopcr Tcam that <br />is simultaneously working on the federal land transfer process. DSU herein commits to having <br />John Shardlow present at all kcy project meetings, and to personally represent the City and <br />project before the Metropolitan Council and other key agencies. DSU further commits to have <br />Craig Rapp available to conduct meetings with surrounding jurisdictions, key Icgislators, and <br />others as assign cd. <br /> <br />As project manager, John Shardlow will conduct working meetings and project coordination <br />meetings as needed throughout the course of the project. He will also facilitate and conduct bi- <br />wcckly meetings with Aaron Parrish and other city staff members, to review project status and <br />plan for upcoming meetings, communications and events. The cost estimates contained in this <br />agreemcnt assume that John Shard low will spend an average of 12 hours per week, on project <br />coordination, on this assignment, during thc scven months course of this project. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />To achieve the above stated objcctivc, the Consultants shall complete the work tasks, conduct <br />and facilitatc meetings ffild deliver the work products summarized below. All of the work <br />outlined in this agreement shall support the successful completion of the five phascd project <br />process tllat is graphically illustrated on attached Figure I. <br /> <br />In undertaking this project, the parties acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may arise <br />during the coursc of process. It may, therefore, become nccessary or advantagcous to add, <br />modify, or eliminate somc of the tasks described below. The Consultants and the City commit to <br />meeting and communicating regularly throughout the course of the project. The Consultffilts will <br />not perform any additional services without thc prior rcvicw and approval of the City. <br />It is also recognized that there is currently uncertainty about the federal land transfer process, <br />both in terms of the total amount ofland that may be transferred to the City of Arden Hills and to <br />the condition of that property. The ultimate conclusions related to both ofthose factors will have <br />a direct effect on the scope ffild costs associatcd with thc Consultant's services. <br /> <br />Thc Consultant Tcam will maintain strong communications with thc Dcvelopment Team, the <br />Project Senior Advisors, staff and city council throughout the project. Prior to commencing any <br />major activities on the project, the Consultants and the City will rcview thc timing and scope of <br />thosc activities. Every rcasonable effort will be made to ensure that only the necessary work is <br />being completed and that the level of detail is commensurate with the current project <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Thc following paragraphs contain a summary of the work to be completed by each of the <br />consultants, in cach of the five project. phases. A more dctailed summary of each specific task, <br />thc time allocation and thc budget for each of the four consultant finns, is attached as an <br />appendix, and incorporated herein by referencc, to this agreement. <br /> <br />2 <br />
