Assist the County/Patners in complying with Xcel Energy "Energy Assets <br />Program". <br />I. Develop Sustainable Architecture guidelines and specifications for the project <br />that incorporate construction material re-use/recycling, and environmentally <br />friendly building materials/construction methods. Submit a report at the end <br />of Phase I describing the guidelines established for the project and <br />highlighting the innovations and anticipated successes in meeting the <br />Sustainable Architecture goals. <br />J, Provide services to plan, select, and bid furniture, fixtures, and equipment, <br />including telephone systems, building signage, and data, for all areas of the <br />facility. <br />K. Assist the County/Partners and participate in the Inclusiveness in Contracting <br />Program ("lICP") in order to incrcase the participation of small, women- <br />owned, and minority-owned businesses in the County's purchasing activities. <br />L. Submit a written maximum not-to-exceed cost for Phase II project <br />construction (culmination of Phase I), <br />M. Coordinate soils testing, special inspections, and other testing/inspections as <br />necessary for the project. <br /> <br />3.02.02 <br /> <br />3.02.03 <br /> <br />\ <br />~ P 3.02.04 <br />~~~ ~- <br />~J{~ \J)~'\1 <br />oP~W <br /> <br />~ ~ 3.02.05 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The contract between the County and the Consultant shall provide for <br />participation, input, review, and discussion with the City to assure that the <br />plans and specifications meet the needs of the City. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The City will have a reasonable amount of time to review, consider and <br />approve, the plans and specifications during each of two phases: schematic <br />design, design development, and end of Phase 1. The City may elect not <br />to proceed with the Project after its review of plans and specifications at <br />each phase, in its absolute and sole discretion. <br /> <br />The City will pay to the Connty their share of the Consultant fees upon <br />contract execution by the County. The pro rata share oftl1e City's portion <br />of the fees will be paid bascd upon 23,889 square feet of space. The <br />City's share of costs is based upon the percentage of proposed bnilding <br />(hcated and cold storage) occnpancy as determined by TKDA in the <br />Ramsey County Public Works Updated Space Nceds Study, dated June <br />2002. <br /> <br />At each phase ofthe Project, the plans, specifications and other documents <br />shall be prepared as to provide information to the parties about the relative <br />costs of each party's share ofthe proposed construction. <br /> <br />. <br />
