ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 9,2002

9

.

Mr. Moore explained where the benches would be located and that this was a part
of the Comprehensive Park Plan approved by the Council previously. He indicated
the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee was recommending these benches.

The Council requested in the future that the Council approve all funds requested
from the Park Fund.

MOTION: Council Member Grant moved and Council Member Aplikowski
seconded a motion to authorize payment of accounts payable, Miracle
Recreation Equipment Co., Twenty 6' Park Benches for Parks &
Trails in the amount of $6,027.90. The motion carried unanimously
(5-0).

B. FINANCE

1. Resolution No. 02-42 Approve the 2002 Revised Budget

. My. Post explained that the Council had approved several items this year that had
not appeared in the adopted 2002 budget. He summarized the various changes
with respect to overall revenues and expenditures.

Council Member Rem requested this information on a "play by play" process as
they were going through the year so they could keep track of what needed
revisions. My. Post replied one of the reasons they tracked these changes was
because they had to report to the State Auditor the 2002 budget and the revisions.
He stated with her suggestion, they would need a Resolution with each item.

Council Member Rem stated she was not looking for a Resolution, just a
spreadsheet showing the revisions. Mr. Post noted in his ten years with the City,
this was the first time the Council had adopted a revised budget.

MOTION: Council Member Grant moved and Council Member Larson seconded
a motion to approve Resolution No. 02-42 Approve the 2002 Revised
Budget as presented. The motion carried unanimously (5-0).

.

2.

Resolution No. 02-43 Approve the 2003 Preliminary Levy
