The LJFD agrees to <br />permanently store the HMRV at the LJFD station in the <br />City of Arden Hills at no cost and to arrange for routine <br />maintenance of the HMRV. Normal operating and <br />maintenance costs, e.g. fuel, oil, tires and battery may <br />be allocated by the LJFD pursuant to Paragraph 2. Extra- <br />ordinary vehicle expenses, e.g. major repairs in excess <br />of $500, shall be submitted to the Operations Committee <br />for prior approval and, if approved, may be allocated <br />pursuant to Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />Emergency Response of HMRV. The New Brighton Fire <br />Department and the Roseville Fire Department may summon <br />the vehicle to an incident within their respective areas <br />of fire protection responsibility in the same manner as <br />they request mutual aid from the LJFD. The LJFD agrees <br />to provide a response with the vehicle with a minimum of <br />two firefighters in the same manner as the LJFD would <br />respond to a mutual aid request. <br /> <br />It is understood that the LJFD is subject to a priority <br />obligation of providing fire suppression forces within <br />the Cities of Arden Hills, North Oaks and Shoreview <br />and/or mutual aid district. If no personnel are at the <br />LJFD's station due to other fire emergency calls, the <br />Fire Department requesting the HMRV will make alternative <br />arrangements as necessary to provide a response with the <br />HMRV. <br /> <br />Non-Emergency Use of HMRV. Each Fire Department may use <br />the HMRV for training of its own personnel and display <br />purposes, The. requesting Fire Department shall be <br />responsible for providing an operator to drive the HMRV <br />between its storage' si,t~~ andi;;he HMRV' s destination. The <br />reque,"?t}:n.g FirS' Dep'ar"tm~rtt' must advise Ramsey County <br />Emergency Communications Center of the HMRV's status in <br />the event it is needed in an emergency. If the HMRV is <br />summoned during a non-emergency use, the Fire Department <br />which has control of the HMRV shall provide a response <br />with the HMRV to the emergency scene with at least two <br />firefighters. <br /> <br />Contamination of HMRV. A Fire Department using the HMRV <br />wi th resulting contamination to the HMRV and/or its <br />equipment, producing a possible personal hazard to <br />unprotected persons, is responsible for decontaminating <br />the HMRV and/or equipment so that no personal hazard <br />exists. Decontamination expenses shall be borne solely <br />by the Fire Department which used the HMRV causing the <br />contamination condition. <br /> <br />3 <br />
