<br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />DECEMBER 9, 2002 8 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant stated they needed to let the resident's decide. <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski agreed they needed to get the resident's input, but <br />they needed to have something for the residents to respond to. <br /> <br />Amended motion failed (1-4). (Council Members Grant, Larson, Aplikowski, and <br />Rem) <br /> <br />Original Motion carried (4-1). (Mayor Probst) <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski directed staff to contact the residents on Pleasant <br />Drive by certified letter, informing them of the Council's decision and directing <br />them to contact the City should they have any questions. <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch noted they were still following the public hearing process and the <br />public hearing had been closed. He noted they were not bound by anything the <br />residents said, but what they were bound by was the decisions made tonight. He . <br />stated they would need to hold the public portion of this open in order to receive <br />further input. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst noted they should set some parameters for the timing of the <br />response. He suggested they send a letter by certified mail with a deadline date for <br />responses to be received. <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski asked if it was possible to have a January 10, 2003 <br />deadline because of the holidays. Mr. Brown stated that was possible. <br /> <br />The two residents in attendance at tonight's meeting from Pleasant Drive stated <br />they were in favor of a six-inch curb. One resident had a preference to keeping the <br />street the same width and one resident had no preference regarding street width. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked the Council if they wanted to reconstruct, overlay with a new <br />curb, or do nothing on Femwood Court. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Aplikowski moved and Council Member <br />Grant seconded a motion to accept the City Engineer's report to . <br />do nothing on Fernwood Court. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br />
