<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />DECEMBER 9, 2002 9 <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked the Council what type of surmountable curb they wanted in <br />the Ingerson neighborhood. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved a motion to approve a four- <br />inch barrier curb in the Ingerson neighborhood. The motion <br />failed for a lack of a second. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Aplikowski moved and Council Member <br />Grant seconded a motion for a four-inch surmountable curb in <br />the Ingerson Neighborhood. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Aplikowski moved and Council Member <br />Grant seconded a motion to amend the previous motion to state <br />that all streets in the Ingerson Neighborhood would have a <br />four-inch surmountable curb, with the exception of Carlson <br />Road, which would have a six-inch barrier curb. <br /> <br />The City Engineer recommended the motion also include Cannon Avenue. They <br />would inform the residents in that area of the decision. <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski accepted the City Engineer's recommendation. <br /> <br />Council Member Larson stated he would vote against this because he was not <br />comfortable with the process they were using. <br /> <br />The motion and amendment with the City Engineer's recommendation carried (4- <br />1). (Council Member Larson). <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked if the Council wanted to reconstruct or remove Hamline <br />Avenue (north), noting the City Engineer's recommendation was to remove the <br />street. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved and Mayor Probst seconded a <br />motion to remove Hamline A venue North. <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski stated she had a concern with closing a street that <br />was part of a community, She indicates she understood there was a cost factor <br />
