<br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />DECEMBER 9, 2002 12 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mark McGuire, 2030 GlenDaul Avenue, stated he was disappointed the Council <br />had changed their mind from the last meeting. He stated along his property, very <br />little had changed and he still had concerns with this development. He presented <br />to the Council the preferences of what the residents in the area would like to see. <br /> <br />Don Ristow, 2033 W. County Road E, stated he was angry about this <br />development. He noted the changes did not satisfy the requests the neighbors <br />made at the last meeting. He stated they had already lost their woods, and now <br />they were being required to lose their privacy. He noted the ramps were right by <br />his bedroom windows. He stated the decks were overlooking his yard. He stated <br />going from a one and one-half story to a two story was a drastic change. He noted <br />it was more realistic to have a one-story building in a residential area. He stated <br />the building would stand out in this area and would not fit the neighborhood. He <br />requested the City not to approve this. <br /> <br />Kim LUl!:er, 2026 GlenDaul Avenue, stated she had never been contacted by Mr. . <br />Nelson regarding the landscaping issues. She expressed concern that the lot had <br />been cleared of all landscaping and her screening was now, no longer there. She <br />presented options she believed would work for this development, with respect to <br />screening. She stated she was against the outside decks. <br /> <br />Kathv Nelson, 3475 Siems Court, stated she was offended someone would call <br />her husband a cheat and a manipulator. She stated they were trying to build a <br />quality building in the City and they were not manipulators. She stated her <br />husband had worked very hard with the neighbors and reworked the plans so they <br />were acceptable to the City and community. <br /> <br />Mrs. Osborn, 2029 GlenDaul A venue, asked why all of the trees were removed <br />from the lot. She stated she planted one of the trees when her son went to college. <br />She stated they should have been informed that the trees would be removed. She <br />added that some trees should have been left for privacy until the new ones were <br />planted. She asked why the building had to be a two-story building, <br /> <br />Steve Nelson, 3475 Siems Court, stated the trees that were removed were not of <br />high quality. It was the recommendation of the landscaping company to remove . <br />all of them and start over again. He stated they could put a roof over the trash <br />enclosure, but that would make it much larger because they would need to be able <br />
