He stated he was uncomfortable signing away the possibility of a road through the wildlife corridor. Grel! Mack, Ramsey County Director of Parks and Recreation, stated he had been communicating with the GSA staff about the transfer of three parcels to Ramsey County. He noted they had attempted to deal with, what he believed were, the transportation interests for all parties involved. Mr. Rehbein stated the County would have to submit an application to the GSA with sponsorship from a Federal Agency. He noted the Federal screening process was over. He encouraged the Council to bring the GSA to a work session and get their input directly. He stated the developers were not opposed to the wildlife corridor, but encouraged the Council to think this through thoroughly before making any decisions. MOTION: Council Member Grant moved and Council Member Rem second a motion to table Resolution No. 02-73: Approving the Rice Creek North Regional Trail Master Plan Amendment, to the January 20, 2003 Work Session. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). B. Authorize Distribution of Letter to GSA Mr. Parrish presented a letter to the GSA and Army indicating the City's interest in pursuing the acquisition ofTCAAP property via early transfer authority. MOTION: Council Member Rem moved and Council Member Grant seconded a motion to table the Distribution of Letter to GSA to the January 20,2003 Work Session. The motion carried (4-1). (Mayor Probst). C. Planning Case No. 02-28: Volkert, Variance for Garden Shed, 1330 Nursery Hill Lane Mr. I-Iellegers stated the applicant was requesting a variance to allow a garden shed to remain in the Side Yard Comer setback area. The Planning Commission recommended approval, subject to conditions as noted in staffs report dated December 11, 2002.
