The sizing and <br />location of on-site storm water ponds will be finalized as site plans for the proposed project are <br />prepared. <br /> <br />FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE PARTY/PARTIES <br /> <br />The Guidant Corporation is the responsible party for funding construction of storm water <br />treatment and other related infrastructure required to meet applicable standards for post- <br />dcvelopment peak discharge rate and water quality treatment. <br /> <br />3.5 TRAFFIC <br /> <br />3.5.1 Summary of Impacts <br /> <br />As a result of the forecast increases in background trat1ic volumes and thc Guidant Campus <br />expansion, traffic levels will increase on roadways within and adjacent to the study area through <br />the site devclopmcnt period (Y car 2019) and bcyond. These increasing traffic volumes will <br />result in operational problems on area roadways if no roadway improvements area made. <br /> <br />3.5.2 Mitigation Measures <br /> <br />ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Guidant has worked with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT), Ramsey <br />County and the Cities of Arden Hills and Shoreview to identify appropriate roadway <br />improvemcnts to mitigate for traffic impacts that may rcsult from the three stages of devejopment <br />(Phases I, Il and Ill) planned as part of thc Guidant Campus expansion. <br /> <br />The traffic improvements identified during this coordination with MnlDOT, the County and the <br />Cities have bcen incorporatcd in thc Planncd Unit Development (PUD) Master Plan and the <br />Planned Unit Development (PUD) Permit and Development Agreement between the City and <br />Guidant These documents identify the traffic improvements and timing of the improvements <br />associated with each phase of development Prior to Guidant receiving finaj approval from the <br /> <br />Guidant Campus M<lster Plan <br />Final Mitigation Plan <br /> <br />-7 - <br /> <br />January 2003 <br />
