<br />. Many studies have shown that those municipalities that utilize executive search firms select a person who more closely <br />fits the needs of the community and thus, they are more satisfied with their choice. We try to provide all the <br />infonnation possible to assist you in the selection process. We also handle all the paperwork of notifications, <br />negotiations, etc. .. thus saving your staff the additional workload and clerical work in this regard. In a nutshell, we <br />facilitate the process in a very effective and efficient manner. <br /> <br />Many times communities will feel they cannot afford the services of an executive search finn to assist them. One of <br />the reasons we created this finn is to overcome this detriment. Historically, the charges for our services are about one- <br />third of the charges of other executive search finns. It will typically cost approximately one month's salary of the <br />position being filled. The fees proposed in our proposal allow for three on-site meetings-the first to select the semi- <br />finalists; the second to select the finalists; and the third to select the person. Therefore we will not be present to make <br />a verbal presentation of our proposal at the March 17th meeting, unless the city wants to pay the expenses for such a <br />meeting. We would, of course, be available for a telephone interview on that date and would be happy to address any <br />questions. We also will not be preparing 10 copies of the reports or additional copies of our proposal. <br /> <br />Several times we have been asked why our fees are so much less than our competitors. We purposely keep the fees <br />low because we are dedicated to promoting the "best" in Public Administration. As we tell our clients, "please don't <br />hire us because we are the lowest cost, hire us because we provide the best service." I believe that if you contact the <br />officials ofany of the cities, villages and towns that we have served, they will agree with that assessment. <br /> <br />Our services do not end when you hire your administrator. At no cost, we stay in touch with you and the person you <br />hire throughout their tenure to offer whatever assistance and advice may be needed. We take a personal interest in <br />making your choice as successful as possible and we feel our lengthy experiences may be of assistance to your new <br />administrator. <br /> <br />. If you let us know as soon as possible, we can work with you in developing and placing the advertisement. In this <br />regard, it would be helpful to know the salary range for the position and some details or descriptive information about <br />both the position and the community for use in the advertisements. In our recent recruitment effort in Oak Park <br />Heights, MN, we worked with the local officials in developing a "Recruitment Profile" for the position. <br /> <br />I am enclosing a proposal that outlines the nature and extent of our services. I would draw your attention to the last <br />paragraph in the Proposal.
