Section 2.1 details the proposed action whereas Section 2.2 <br />presents the no action alternative to the proposed action. <br /> <br />2.1 Proposed Action <br /> <br />The proposed action is to transfer 35 acres of excess Army real property to Ramsey <br />County for the purpose of constructing a new maintenance facility <br /> <br />2.2 Alternatives to the Proposed Action <br /> <br />Alternatives to transferring the real property to Ramsey County are discussed below. <br /> <br />2.2.1 Alternative 1 - No Action <br /> <br />The no action alternative is to not use the authority provided in the Defense <br />Authorization Bill. which allows the Secretary of the Army to transfer real property to <br />Ramsey County from TCMP to construct a new maintenance facility. Therefore, there <br />would be no land tr.nsfer and the land would stay under the control of the Army. <br /> <br />2.2.2 Alternative 2 - Transfer Property to Ramsey County <br /> <br />The proposed action is to transfer 35 acres of TCMP to Ramsey County. This acreage <br />would allow Ramsey County to construct a new maintenance facility and provide <br />adequate parking for employees and visitors. <br /> <br />5 <br />
