Proposed Recruitment Timeline and Process <br /> <br />OVERVIEW <br /> <br />Based on the most recent Work Session and past City Council discussion, approval of the <br />following is being requested: <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />1. Approval of the Position Description <br /> <br />Approving the position description establishes this particular position within the City of <br />Arden Hills organizational structure. The position will directly report to the City <br />Administrator, but will not be a department head. This is attached for your review. <br /> <br />2. Approve a Revised Compensation Plan <br /> <br />Annually the Council approves a compensation plan for city employees. Since this position <br />was not approved when the 2004 compensation plan was approved, it is necessary to approve <br />a revised version. This is attached for your review. <br /> <br />3. Authorize Recruitment to Fill the Vacancy <br /> <br />Assuming that the first two items are approved, staff would request that the recruitment for <br />the position be authorized. The proposed process is similar to what was done for the Finance <br />Director and what we are doing for the Community Development Director vacancy.
