Employee Recognition Policy - Clean Copy <br /> <br />OVERVIEW <br /> <br />Changes suggested at the March <br />Employee Recognition Policy. <br />incorporated in the following areas <br /> <br />Work Session have been incorporated into the proposed <br />Language addressing the suggested changes has been <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />)> Years of Service: Gift Certificates for years of service shall begin with the fifth year. <br />)> Years of Service: Gift certificates shall be service free (i.e. no service charges will be paid). <br />)> Money and Time Saving Idea: Approved money and time saving idea suggestions would <br />become property ofthe City of Arden Hills. <br />)> Retirement: Retiring employees will be presented with a plaque and gift certificate in an <br />amount approved by the City Council as opposed to a specified dollar amount per year of <br />servIce. <br />)> Employee Recognition Committee: The Employee Recognition Committee and City Council <br />shall review the Employee Recognition Policy every other year. <br /> <br />In addition to the above, the Council requested clarification on the proposed effective date. At <br />this point, staff is suggesting that the effective date be retroactive back to January I, 2004.
