<br />. <br /> <br />Item # 2 - Additional Concrete Curb & Gutter Replacement (Karth Lake) <br /> <br />The engineer determined it was necessary to remove additional concrete curb and gutter in the Karth Lake <br />neighborhood. The additional removals were required to take care of curbs that had settled, and <br />subsequently would continue to pond water in the fUlure. Based on 1.813LF at the contract unit price of <br />$16.00LF. <br /> <br />Total Cost of Item # 2 <br /> <br />$29,008.00 <br /> <br />Item # 3 - Additional Bitumiuous Mixture (Karth Lake) <br /> <br />During the process of removing and replacing concrete curb and gutter at the Kath Lake neighborhood, it <br />became apparent that several areas of the in-place roadway were in worse shape than anticipated. The <br />engineer directed the contractor to perform the required bituminous work prior to the placement of the two~ <br />inch bituminous overlay. Based on 539 Tons at the contrad unit price of $34.70Ton. <br /> <br />Total Cost of Item # 3 <br /> <br />$18,70330 <br /> <br />Item # 4 - Additional Fernwood Channel Grading <br /> <br />The resident along the westerly side of the Fernwood Ditch claimed the contractor removed a portion of his <br />back yard during their grading of the Fernwood Ditch. Following a meeting with the city, the engineer <br />directed the contractor to import this property owners excavated material back to the site. This was <br />satisfactory to the property owner. Based on time and materials documentation. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Total Cost of Item # 4 <br /> <br />$2,152.00 <br /> <br />Item # 5 - Additional Lawn Sod <br /> <br />The engineer directed the contractor to perform additional boulevard grading at several locations <br />throughout the project. This work was necessary to accommodate the residents concerns over maintaining a <br />steep boulevard. This modification to the original grading limits required the contractor place severa) <br />huodred more yards than the plan indicates.
