We achieve our value <br />proposition by leveraging our independence, a proprietary strategic benefit management system, <br />innovative enlployee services and a comprehensive array of tools and resources to case the plan <br />administration for the employer. <br /> <br />1) As an independent firm, FCl generates sufficient volume in the state of Minnesota to maintain <br />preferred broker status with all the major insurance carriers. Our clients benefit from this status <br />by receiving more timely information as well as,increased negotiating power. FC]'s negotiation <br />skills have resulted in significant reductions for our clients' health insurance renewals, In addition, <br />as a member of NFP, FCI has access to proprietary products not offered through other local <br />employee benefit agencies, <br /> <br />2) FCI employs a proven proprietary benefits management process that helps anticIpate cost <br />increases as well as allows time to proactively implement cost containment measures, Through <br />tlus process, FCI systematically analyzes claims information from vendors to identify problematic <br />trends over the course of the year, This information is provided to your benefits staff with <br />appropriate recommendations for immediate and future action items. Recommendations may <br />include, but arc not limited to, evaluating other vendors, funding arrangements and/or <br />implementing plan design alternatives. <br /> <br />3) FCI advocates a very high level of employee interaction throughout the benefits management <br />process. In most organizations, employees today arc oblivious to the dramatic cost increases <br />affecting the health insurance industry. We believe that industry trends point toward increased <br />employee responsibility for healthcare, We work with our clients to implement a strategic <br />education and/or wellness campaign to help prepare employees for the future as well as keep <br />them infomled and involved in immediate benefit plan changes. In addition; our extensive library <br />of educational presentations is aimed at raising awareness of insurance trends, understanding plan <br />design and cost shating changes and encouraging health management behaviors among <br />employees.
