Mr. Lehnhoff responded if they did not
have sufficient parking, additional parking would need to be added.

Councilmember Grant asked if the manufacturer of the air handling equipment offered any
quieter units. Charles Patterson, Celestica, responded he had contacted the manufacturer about
this issue and they were researching it. He indicated there was a possibility of changing the fans
to get the noise down, but at this time he did not have the decibel figures.

Councilmember Grant asked if it was their intent to have the quieter blades. Mr. Patterson
responded if this was a major problem, they would add the quieter blades. He stated right now
he had asked the manufacturer to look into the quieter blades.

Mayor Aplikowski asked if this became a noise problem and they received complaints, would
they be willing to comc back and discuss this. Mr. Patterson
responded the units wcre being placed there because of the mechanics on the inside of the
building.

Councilmember Holden stated she had concerns about approving something that was close to
MPCA regulations and the fact that this was in thc parking lot and people would be walking to
and from the building right next to this unit.

Councilmember Pellegrin stated he also had concerns and noted he was familiar with air
handling units and they were loud. Mr. Patterson stated they did not anticipate the unit would
be running at 100 percent capacity all of the time and the unit would cycle on and off based on
demand. He indicated he did not have infonnation as to how often the unit would cycle on and
off, but he did not bclieve the unit would be on for long periods oftime.

MOTION: Mayor Aplikowski moved and Councilmember Pellegrin seconded a
motion to approve Planning Case 06-003, Celestica, 4300 Round Lake
Road, SUP Amendment subject to the nine conditions as noted in staff's
February 6, 2006 report.
