<br />23.2 Provide technical criteria, written descriptions and design data for use in filing applications for <br />permits with or obtaining approvals of such governmental authorities as have jurisdiction to approve the design of <br />the Project, and assist CITY in consultations with appropriate authorities. ENGINEER shall submit an applications <br />to the appropriate agencies and submit copies to CtTY. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2.3.3 Advise CITY of any adjustments to the latest opinion of probable Total Project Cost caused by <br />change in general scope, extent or character or design requirements of the Project or Construction Costs. Furnish to <br />CITY a revised opinion of probabte Total Project Cost based on the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />2.3.4 Prepare for review and approval by CITY, its legal counsel and other advisors, contract agreement <br />[anTIs, general conditions and supplementary conditions, and (where appropriate) bid forms, invitations to bid and <br />instructions to bidders, and assist in the preparation of other related documents. <br /> <br />2.3.5 Attend necessary conferences and be available for general consultation. <br /> <br />2.3.6 Furnish the number of copies set forth in the Work Order of the above documents and of the <br />Drawings and Specifications set and present and review them in person with the CITY. <br /> <br />2.3.7 Furnish one copy of an design calculations ifrequested by CtTY. <br /> <br />2.4 - BIDDING OR NEGOTIATING PHASE <br /> <br />2.4. I ENGINEER shall prepare and forward the Advertisement for Bids to the designated publications, <br />official newspaper and the CITY. The ENGINEER shall supply the number of sets offull size finat Plans and <br />Specifications set forth in the Work Order far use in obtaining proposals and submitting for general review. <br />ENGINEER shall maintain a record of prospective bidders to whom Bidding Documents have becn issued, attend <br />pre-bid conferences and receive and process deposits for Bidding Documents. <br /> <br />2.4.2 <br />Documents. <br /> <br />ENGINEER shall issue addenda as appropriate to interpret, clarity or expand the Bidding <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2.4.3 ENGINEER shall consult with and advise CITY as to the acceptability of subcontractors, <br />suppliers, and other persons and organizations proposed by the prime Contractor(s) for the portions of the work <br />where acceptabitity is required by the Bidding Documents. <br /> <br />2.4.4 ENGINEER shall consult with and advise CITY concerning and detennining the acceptability of <br />substitute materiats and equipment proposed by Contractor(s) when substitution prior to the award of contracts is <br />allowed by the Bidding Documents. <br /> <br />2.4.5 ENGtNEER shall attend the bid opening, prepare bid tabulation sheet> and assist CITY in <br />evaluating bids or proposals and in assembling and awarding contracts for constmction, materials, equipment and <br />services. <br /> <br />2.5 - MONTHLY RETAINER SERVICES <br /> <br />2.5. I ENGINEER shall attend up to three (3) City Couneilmcetings per month when reqnested by CITY <br />staff. It is anticipated that the ENGtNEER will attend twelve (12) City Council meetings over the course of one <br />year. <br /> <br />2.5.2 ENGINEER shall attend Planning Commission meerings when requested by CITY staff. It is <br />anticipated that the ENGINEER will attend two (2) meetings during the course of one year. <br /> <br />2.5.3 ENGtNEER sball attend Parks and Recreation meetings when requested by CITY staff.
