The plan is intended to <br />assist key City ofIieials and emergency organizations to carry out their responsibilities for the <br />proteclion oflife and property under a wide range of emergency conditions, <br /> <br />Personnel with intimate knowledge of unwritten plans may be unavailable at the time it becomes <br />necessary to implemenl them, A written plan will furnish a documentary record which can be <br />referred 10 as needed, This documentary record will serve to refresh the knowledge of key <br />individuals and can be used to inform persons who become replacements. <br /> <br />To Whom the Policy Applies <br />City Council and City Staff Members <br /> <br />Damage Assessment and Clean-up Procedures <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Operations and Maintenance Director or Operations and Maintenance <br />Superintendent will contact the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department and Lake <br />Johanna Fire Department to request assistance with storm damage enarts in Arden <br />Hills, <br /> <br />2. Operations and Maintenance Department call-out procedures will be utilized by the <br />OperatIOns and Maintenance Director or Superintendent. <br /> <br />3, Thc Operations and Maintenance staff will inspects the City's utility system (lift <br />stations and boosters) and make any necessary emergency repairs, <br /> <br />4, The Operations and Maintenance Department will remove trees and storm debris <br />from the City's primary intersections. Cones and flashers will be placed next to <br />downed power lines, flooded roadways, and other situations that may endanger the <br />public's safety, <br /> <br />5, The Operations and Maintenance Department will remove storm debris and <br />provide public access to residential streets. <br /> <br />6, City staff will evaluate the extent of the storn1 damage and will make a <br />recommendation to the City Council whether or not a city-wide storm debris clean- <br />up effort is necessary, The following criteria will be used by the City when <br />determining whether or not a City wide storm clean-up is necessary, <br />. What is the geographic impact of the storn1 on the City? Has seventy percent <br />of the City been affected by stonn damage? <br />. What is the estimated number of damaged trees along the boulevards? <br />. What is the ability of City staff to handle the storm clean-up efforts? <br />
