Mr. Hotlennorst <br />reported that he wi I I be out of town the week of November I, but <br />wll I ask Chairman McGough to get a Planning CommIssion member to <br />report hearing results to the Council. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN HENDERSON - FInance and MunIcipal Lends & 81dgs. <br /> <br />State Ta..:Bill and Vlllalle Budqet, Resolul'lon No. 71-51 <br /> <br />Councilman Henderson reported briefly on details and progress of ttle <br />state tax bill. He said the Village mill rate would i~crease about <br />9 mills If the budget is certified as presented October II, but the <br />school district and the county rate should decrease leaving residents <br />in Arden Hi I Is an overall decrease in property taxes. Mr. Henderson <br />suggested that the Village rate be cut by effecting the following <br />reductions: <br /> <br />:t,~ <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Deduct $20,000 from Municipal lands and Buildings fund <br />levy. V! Ilage Hall and Maintenance Bui Iding 197\ Improve- <br />ment WOuld then be paid off over a longer time period. <br /> <br />Deduct $30,000 from Public Works Reserve fund levy. <br /> <br />Deduct $7,500 from Parks and Recreation budget for 'the <br />Chas. Perry Park Improvement. <br /> <br />Deduct $),000 from administrative office budget, accounts <br />for old record destruction and for record micro-filming. <br />,,1'1 <br />Deduct $5,000~fr~m Public Safety Dept. budget, pollee <br />salaries. Reduce levy for Municipal Lands and Buildings fund by <br />$20,000. <br /> <br />2. Reduce levy for Public Works Reserve fund by $30,000. <br /> <br />3.
