COUR~NEY <br /> <br />Soo Line-Arden Hi lis Agreement <br />(See above) <br /> <br />NumberinQ System - Councl I Resolutions <br />Attorney Courtney read a resolution, which he prepared at the re- <br />quest of Clerk Administrator Stromquist, to effectively instigate <br />a numbering and filing system for Council resolutions, retroactive <br />to January 1,1971. <br /> <br />E. G. Henderson moved adoption of the resolution as read and attached; <br />seconded by S. Olmen. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Sanitar Sewer Easement 12-7 <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed r. Lynden's letter of March 22, 1971, <br />suggesting that formal appraisal of the Griffis property be authorized <br />because of the seemingly large easement adjustment requested. <br /> <br />After discussion, Engineer Lund was requested to prepare sewer con- <br />struction cost figures and a sketch of the sewer easement through <br />the Griffis property, for Council consideration. <br /> <br />New BrIghton-Arden Hills Land Trade <br />Attorney Courtney advised the Counci I that the land trade with New <br />Brighton was accomplished on March 23, 1971, and has been filed with <br />the Secretary of State and the County Auditor. V. Courtney said he <br />would check to see if a filing Is also necessary with the Register <br />of Deeds. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed a letter receIved from New Brighton, <br />whiCh enclosed a petition from Minneapolis Hide and Tallow Company, <br />requestIng improvement of the road, and a feasibility report for the <br />road Improvement prepared by Carley Engineering Company for the <br />Village of New Brighton. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund was requested to determine if the petit.ion includes <br />the required 35~ of the property owners to be affected by the re- <br />quested road Improvement, and to check the feasibility report pre- <br />pared by Carley EngIneering Company as to feasibility of construction <br />by Arden Hi 115. ~ <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney advised the Council that he would check on the <br />status of the tax and assessment search which had been ordered in <br />connection with the land trade. <br /> <br />The Council authorized the PlannIng Commission to proceed with the <br />Public Hearing for the Rezoning of the area annexed from New <br />Brighton, as outl ined' in the Councl t Minutes of December 14, 1970. <br /> <br />Underqround Utilities Ordinance <br />After consideration. of the amended draft of the Underground Utilities <br />Ordinance, R. Herrick moved that AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE <br />UNDERGROUND INSTALLATION OF UTILITY DISTRIBUTION LINES AND PROVIDING <br />FOR VIOLATIONS, be Introduced by title and referred to the Planning <br />Commission for Its report to the Council on the Attorney's comments; <br />. seconded by J. Hollenhorst. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mobile Home Ordinance <br />J.Hollenhorst moved that AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE LOCATION OF <br />MOBILE HOMES AND ESTABLISHING STANDARDS AND RULES OF OPERATION FOR <br />MOBILE HOME COURTS, AHD ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION, be <br />Introduced by title; seconded by R. Herrick. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br /> <br />The Council members were requested to study the ordinance draft for <br />consideratIon at the next Council meeting. Clerk Stromquist was re- <br />quested to provide copies ot the ordinance draft to the Arden Associ- <br />ation and the newspapers requesting that It be given publicity. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
