<br />--...... <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Page three <br /> <br />February 8, '1911 <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney was requested to meet with Planner Shetler to <br />determine the advisability of an amendment to Ordinance 98. <br /> <br />Feyereisen Easement - Sanitary Sewer Improvement 12-13 <br />Attorney Courtney advised the Council of the status of the Feyerelsen <br />Easement and referred the Councl I to a memo prepared by Attorney <br />Lynden re his recommendations. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After discussion, the Council referred the matter to Councilman <br />Herrick ,In an effort to negotiate a settlement with Mr. Feyereisen. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney recommended that easement settlements be handled <br />individually as damage claims are presented for payment.. <br /> <br />The Counci I agreed to the procedure as outlIned. <br /> <br />Zonin~ Ordinance Amendment - Second Reading <br />After Attorney Courtney read the Zoning Ordinance Amendment In Its <br />entIrety, it was moved by Councilman Hol lenhorst that the rules be <br />waived on the thIrd reading, and AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 99, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED BY ORDINANCE <br />NO. 138, ,BY ADDING AN ACCESSORY USE IN BUSINESS DISTRICTS AND INDUS- <br />TRIAL DISTRICTS, be adopted, as read; seconded by Councilman <br />Henderson. Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />500 Line Spur Track Proposal <br />Engineer Lund reviewed his letter to Attorney Courtney, dated Febru- <br />ary 8,1911, re a meeting he and Councilm~n Hollenhorst andY'mh'a,.,..IlfI"""", <br />attended with 500 Line Railroad Company representatives. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney was reqeusted to consult with Engineer Lund and <br />Councilmen Hollenhorst and Henderson as he deems necessary, while <br />preparing an agreement to be considered by the 500 Line Railroad and <br />the Village Council, re the proposed Soo Line Spur track. <br /> <br />Sewer and Water Improvement No. 10-1 <br />Engineer Lund presented plans for the construction of Sewer and Water <br />lines on County Road F, from Fernwood to Hamline Avenue, suggesting <br />that the property owners be requested to indIcate desired servIce <br />locations. The Council requested that Engineer Lund obtain the service <br />locations from the property owners involved In the improvement. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund estimated that the improvement could be completed In <br />approximately 45 days after the bid Is awarded. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councl'man Herrick moved that Banister Engineering Company prepare the' <br />Advertisement for Bids for publication In the New Brighton Bulletin <br />on February 18 and 25,1971; bIds to be opened on March 5, 1!l71 at <br />11:00 a.m. at the Village Hall by Engineer Lund and Clerk AdmInIstrator. <br />Stromquist; Council to consider the bids on March 8, 1971; seconded <br />by Councilman Holienhorst. Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />State Aid Allowance <br />Engineer Lund advised the Council th~t at present all of the Village <br />State Aid allowance, $28,069.00, is for construction; he said hEi <br />has requested that a portion of this amount be transferred for road <br />maintenance. This was agreeable with the Council. <br /> <br />McDonald and Associates' Claim <br />Eng I neer Lund adv i sed the Counc il that Eng I neer Roger Short has <br />received the desired information re the McDonald and Associates claim <br />and will report to the Council at the next CouncIl meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN JOHN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br /><s'~ <br />
