COURTNEY <br />eethel Property Easements - Proposed Water Improvement b8-2 <br />The matfier of obtaining a water easement across the Bethel property <br />by possible condemnation was tabled until the May 26 council meetfng, <br />pe�ding a reply from HUD. <br />Presbyterian Homes - Access Easement <br />Attorney Courtney reported that Presbyterian Homes is reluctant to <br />• give an easement for access to the lift station for mainte�ance pur- <br />poses, but they wtll give the village a Iicense with a cancellatlon <br />clause of 90 days notice. He informed the councPl that if such Iicense <br />is obtained and then such nottce gfven, he would then recommend con- <br />demnation for this easement. <br />Wiillams Easement - W <br />�lerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist received a letter, dated May <br />12, 1969, from Attorney Sailand on this matter. <br />Councilman Holle�horst moved approvai of paying Mrs. Emmett 6�illiams, <br />3355 Lake Johanna Btvd., $500 for a 160 foot easement abutting Lake <br />Johanna al�d; $290 of this amount is compensation for a new iaw�, et <br />cetera; $210 fs to be deducted from the Northern Contracting Company's <br />contract; seconded by Councflman Henderson; motion carried unanimously. <br />Advertisemenfi for Bids - Used Tractor <br />Counciiman Olmen moved that blds for a used tractor wfth a backhoe <br />and front end loader be adverttsed May 15, 1969; authorized Clerk <br />Administrator Lor�a(ne Stromquist to open bids afi 2:00 p.m. on May <br />26, 1969 and to refer to Supervisor Beecher; seconded by Councllman <br />Hollenhorst; motlon carried unanimously. <br />Pro�fslons ln the advertisement for bids state the equipment is to be <br />avatiabie tor inspection at the village hall parking lot between 2 <br />and 5 p.m, on May 26, 1969 and all bids over $9,500 will be disregarded. <br />Ordinance No. 114 - ProDosed Amendment <br />After council dlscussion regarding sewer rates for Lake Johanna Beach <br />and Harkins driving range, summer utility users, Councflman Nenderson <br />recommended Engtneer Lund figure a 41at rate for sewer based on sewer <br />usage and sugges�ed $50 per season. <br />Council requested Attorney Court�ey fio draft an amendment to the ordinance <br />to provide for these exceptions. <br />Maintenance Department Well Matter <br />Mayor Bjorndahl requested Attorney Court�ey to contact Mr. Grudnoske <br />regardi�g the repair of the weil at the viliage maPntenance buildtng. <br />Industrial Park Landscaping <br />Cltff Lund, Roberts Construction Company, was present and submitted <br />• pictures of the landscaping around some of the buildings in the In- <br />dustrial Park. The council agreed with Counciiman Hoilenhorst's recom- <br />mendation that independent reports be submitted by Village Pianner <br />Car{ Dale and Buiiding inspector Clay Kelley regard'fng the landscape <br />deficPencies in thfs development. Thoso reports are to be submitted <br />to Clerk Administrator Lorratne Stromquist in sufficient time for Mr. <br />Lund to receive a copy and prepare a sfiatement on the matter for the <br />next council meetPng. <br />. <br />Snow Plow Specificatlons <br />Maintenance Supervisor E. Beecher submttted specifications for a snow <br />ptow to Attorney Courtney. Counci�man Olmen moved, seconded by Councfl- <br />man Crepeau, that Attorney Courtney prepare and cause to be published <br />the advertPsement''�for�ra bids for a snow p�ow; bid opening scheduled for <br />June �� 1969 at r�St p.m., and authorized the Clerk Administrafior to <br />open the bids and refer to Supervlsor Beecher; motion carried unanimously. <br />- Z - <br />
