• <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Page Thrse <br />REPORT OF VIlLA6E 7REASURER UONALD LAMB <br />July 30, 1979 <br />Rssolution No. 79-34, peslanatinq Additional Depository <br />Hanson moved, seconded by CrlchtQn, that Council adopt Resolution <br />No. 79-34, pesignation of Minnesota federai Sav(ngs and Loan Assoclatto� <br />as Additional Depository for Invest�nt Purposes. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Investments <br />7-17-79 - SI00,000 for 90 days, @ iQ.10$ interest at Oak Park Heights <br />State Bank to mature October f5, 1979, and <br />3260,000 � 10.01$ intarest at Northwestern Nattona{ Bank <br />of St. Paul to mature January 4, 1980. <br />7-18-79 - S2i3,4�0.73 9 10.01$ interest at Northwestera NatTonal <br />Bank of St. Paul to mature January (4, 1980. <br />Hanson moved, secondad by Crlchton, that Council ratify the Treasurer�s <br />investments. Motion carrled unanimously. <br />OTHER BUSINES& <br />�a��uacaNcx rns�ecr�an neporr - rraen manor <br />Council revlewed r�port of Landscape inspector with Mr. Husnik (Arden <br />Manor) and Counc(I was referred to memo fr�m Councilman Ningert (T-26-79) <br />and his recommendatlons that Councfl accept the Arden Manor landscap- <br />ing sub,ject to: <br />I. Screening of the storage area <br />2. Replacement of dead plentings, and <br />3. Substitution of a one-year maintenance bond in the <br />amount of E10,000 fo� the $30,�00 performance <br />"Letter ot Credlt". <br />Mr. Husnik conte�ded that many of the plantings, noted in the rsport <br />as being dead, are actually alive; requested Council to release the <br />bo�d; explained that storaga area had been scraened with a wood� <br />fence whtch was replaeed by a chain tink fence. Husn{k said he has <br />no intention of sodding tha berm area; If rasfdents want area adjacent <br />to thefr lofis sodded, he will furn(sh the soQ. but 4hey must provide <br />their own maintenance. <br />Mrs. Gladys Miller, Arden Manor rssfdent, requested that her lot be <br />sodded. Resident at � Lisa Lane saTd his lot is only 112 sodded - <br />front half needs sod. <br />Several mathods of screen(ng the storage area were mentioned: <br />I. Ptantlnq berm with Russian Oiives <br />• <br />1 <br />2 <br />3. <br />Replacement of dead plantings with live plants <br />Satisfactory screening of the storage area <br />Sodding of the lots net yet completed <br />4. Provlsfon of a ope-year matntenance bond, in the <br />amount of E5,000 to reptace the E30,000 Letter of Credit <br />2. Planti'ng•berm wtth dei�se shru6s, sueh as (tlacs „ <br />3.
