<br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />Chapter 2 Administration <br /> <br />committee is not as formal as the commission was intended to be, does not have specific assigned <br /> <br />tasks that are of an ongoing nature, etc. This section could be deleted and the committee treated <br /> <br />as under 220.02. <br /> <br />Subd. 1 Established. There is hereby continued within the City a human rights commission. <br /> <br />(Created by Ord. No. 105 S 2, 5-27-68.) <br /> <br />Subd. 2 Purpose. The purpose of the human rights commission shall be to secure for all <br /> <br />citizens equal opportunity in employment, housing, public accommodations, public services <br /> <br />and education and full participation in the affairs of this community by assisting the <br /> <br />Minnesota Department of Human Rights in implementing Chapter 363 of the Minnesota <br /> <br />Statutes and by advising the City Council on long range programs to improve community <br /> <br />relations in the City. <br /> <br />Subd. 3 Composition, The human rights commission shall consist of ten (10) regular <br /> <br />members to be appointed by the mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
