Each member of the human rights commission, after the original appointments, shall <br /> <br />be appointed for a term of three (3) years. Upon the expiration of his or her term of <br /> <br />office, a regular member shall continue to serve until his or her successor is appointed <br /> <br />and shall have qualified. To insure regularity in the composition of the commission, the <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />.. <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />first year of any term of a regular member shall be deemed to end at the expiration of the <br /> <br />calendar year in which the appointment is made. Members may be reappointed to <br /> <br />subsequent terms. <br /> <br />B. Ad hoc members shall be appointed for one year terms, which shall be deemed to, <br /> <br />have expired at the end of the calendar year in which the appointment is made. <br /> <br />:Y. <br /> <br />C. At the first meeting of the Council in each calendar year, the mayor with the advice <br /> <br />and consent of the Council, shall in addition to making the required appointments <br /> <br />designate one of the members of the commission to act as its chairperson for that <br /> <br />calendar year. <br /> <br />Subd. 5 Removal. Any member of the human rights commission may be removed from <br /> <br />office for cause by the mayor with consent of the Council. <br /> <br />Subd. 6 Filling of Vacancies. Any person appointed to fill a vacancy occurring in the <br /> <br />2 - 11 <br />
