<br />Mr. Nelson does not believe the station would be open 24 hours, but
<br />stated that the company does encourage Its stations to remain open as
<br />long as possible, probably from 6-7 a.m. unltl II - 12 p.m. The
<br />company Is not happy when a station becomes a gang hangout and there
<br />have been cases when a change of leasee has been caused by such a
<br />situation, but Hondas, etc. are customers of servIce stations.

<br />Mr. John Hollenhorst. 1822 Venus Avenue, stated that the proposed sIte
<br />Is on the highest spot of land In the area; ~herefore, easIly visible
<br />f ram most homes; be Ileves that stat I on. w III I ncrease the traff Ic ha'zar.d
<br />especially since It will be near the proposed itbrary sIte and many
<br />children will be In the area.
<br />
<br />Attorney Eastland stated that the station wIll not be adjacent to the
<br />proposed library site. He also stated that vacant property Is not
<br />good use of land.
<br />
<br />Mr. Hal lenhorst believes that other commerelal establishments should
<br />be considered with less traffic. . .
<br />
<br />Mr. Nelson Informed that high land Is attractive to servIce companies,
<br />especially corner locations.
<br />
<br />In response to an Inquiry from Mr. Nelson, Trustee Hoffmann Informed him
<br />that the N.S.P. C~ Is expected to return to the Planning Commission with
<br />specific plans for the power high-line.
<br />
<br />Mr. Nelson stated tha'!" a 135 foot easement fpr this high-I ine will be
<br />over part of the station site. ."
