BACKGROUND <br /> Staff has continued to review and revise the City's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) based upon <br /> previous direction from Council and further financial analysis, Attached is the current CIP <br /> worksheet Starr is providing an update to Council prior to bringing the eII' forward for <br /> approvaL which is scheduled for the January 29, 2007 Council meeting. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The folJowin~ narrative summarizcs the changes made to the elP since the last discussion with <br /> ~. ~ <br /> the CounciL which include updates to the proposed Pavement Managemcnt Program (PMP) <br /> projccts. For the bcnefit of the ncw Council members, the namr:i\'es fi"om the ClP discussions <br /> that occurred at May. .July and August 2006 work sessions have been attached. <br /> 2007 Projects <br /> IPO} PMP Mill and Ov~rlav:_ <br /> As discussed at previous Council meetings and in the feasibility report, the 2007 P!\1P <br /> was cxpanded to include the streets proposed for the 2009 PMPo Some of the streets <br /> originally suggested tar mill and overlay arc now being recommended for seal coats. Spot <br /> uti lity repair has been incorporated into the projects, including items such as gale valve <br /> repair, catch basin/manhole improvements, and sanitary sewer pipe repair.
