Jcrry Filla, City Attorney <br /> Request <br /> To recommcnd adoption of the property maintenance code to thc City Council. <br /> Background <br /> The City Council requestcd that a committee be formed to research the adoption of a property <br /> maintenance code to help maintain property values in the City of Arden Hills. A committee was <br /> formed comprised of residents, Planning Commission membcrs, and City Staff. Members <br /> included Dave Monson, Roberta Thompson, Chuck Mertcnsotto, David Grant, David Sands, <br /> Clayton Larson, Lyle Samela, Larry BrodIe, Dave Scherbel, and Bcverly Aplikowski. The <br /> committee met on four occasions to review and discuss various property maintenance codes, <br /> including those adopted by thc surrounding cities. <br /> Several years ago, the I-35W Corridor Coalition formed a committce to rccommend a property <br /> maintenance code for adoption by membcrs of the 1-35W Corridor Coalition.
