RESPONSE FUNDS <br /> This is an Environmenta] Response Fund Grant Agreement betwecn the Ramsey County <br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority ("HRA") and City of Arden Hills ("GRANTEE"). <br /> WHEREAS, On December 22, 2002, the BRA approved an increase in the mortgage <br />registration and deed tax effective Febmary 1, 2003, for the purpose of creating an <br />Environmental Response Fund per Minnesota Statutes, section 3831\.80: and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 30, 3006, based upon an application from GRANTEE dated May 1, <br />200() CAPPLICA nON"), the BRA approved an Environmental Response Fund grant to the <br />GRANTEE in the amount ofFifiy Thousand Dollars (550,000.00) for remediation activities at <br />the Gateway Business Center/STS Steels site in the City of Arden Hills; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed: <br />l. Grant Amount <br /> The BRA grants the GRANTEE a sum not to excced Fifty Thousand Dollars <br /> ($50,000.00) which funds shall he used only to reimburse it for expenses incuned after <br /> June 20,2006, in performing activities specified in the APPLICATION. which is . <br /> incorporated herein by reference, to the extcnt those activities arc within the scope of <br /> Minnesota Statutes ~383A.81. <br />2. Payment <br /> Grant funds will be disbursed to the GRANTEE on a reimbursement hasis only. <br /> Requcsts Jor payment must be accompanicd hy such documentation as deemed <br /> reasonable by the HRA, in its sole discretion, including but not limited to vendor invoices <br /> and proof of payment for eligible activities and by a certification that expenditurcs were <br /> made fi)!" environmcnta] remediation activities specified in thc APPLICATION and no <br /> other funds were then availahlc to reimburse these expenses. <br />..., Reporting <br />-~ . <br /> Upon the expenditure of all funds covered by this Agreement. the GRANTEE shall <br /> submit a report to the HRA on the progress of the work and a financial summary of all <br /> sources and uses of funds for the work. <br />4. Accounting and Record Keeping <br /> For all expenditures or funds made pursuant to this Agreement, GRANTEE shall keep <br /> financial records including properly executed contracts. invoices, and other documents <br /> sufficient to evidence in proper detail the nature and propriety of the expenditures. . <br /> I <br />
