<br />Engineering - Cummings Park Hard Court <br />9/1812007 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />After reviewing the proposals, staff recommends that we engage WSB & Associates to complete this <br />work at a labor cost not to exceed $6,440. <br /> <br />Staff requested that construction observation be included in the RFQ as an optional cost. The City of <br />Roseville's engineering staff may be able to complete this work, however, that will not be able to be <br />determined until a more detailed construction timeline is known. Since the number of hours required <br />for construction observation is dependent on the contractor's schedule, we have provided the hourly <br />rates for this task. rfWSB & Associates, Inc. would be utilized for this optional service, their rate for <br />construction observation is $83 per hour. <br /> <br />PROJECT SCHEDULE <br />Staff has set an aggressive schedule for the engineering and construction of this project, with <br />completion occurring this fall. Staff does not anticipate that this project will need to go out for bid. <br />However, if competitive quotes come in over $50,000, the bidding process could delay project <br />completion until spring 2008. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Motion to Approve a Proposal dated September 10,2007 and Authorize staff to Contract with WSB <br />& Associates for engineering services for the Cummings Park Hard Court Restoration Project in an <br />amount not to exceed $6,400 for basic services. <br />
