APPENDIX 0 C
The building would be 160' X 300'. The building would
be about the size of Bethel's field house. The floor of the
field house would include locker rooms, lines for volleyball,
tennis and basketball.
Discussion: We could have a problem with the city on the
visual aspect of the building and parking if we build a separate
building. It would depend on how it is presented to the city
neighbors. The powerhouse is a good location but it would
cost too much to move it. A trade off with the neighbors
to get what we want could be to make the lake front more
appealing to the neighbors.
Department of Science and Math Handout:
The Breccia project could work but it is not ideal.
A better option would be to build a separate building 200
feet away from little Lake Johanna on the West Side of
the Powerhouse.
A new building could contain 5 labs, 4 project labs, 3 lab
prep/storerooms, 10 faculty offices, department computer lab,
2 admin offices, animal room and 2 medium classrooms.
Discussion: Hal mentioned if the education department moves
to the KTIS area and Focus moves out then maybe this space
could be an option for science and math.
The next meeting is on Thursday, July 19, 2001 in the
Youderian Lounge.
19 July 2001
MEMO TO: Campus Master Plan Committee
FROM: Kay Stroyny, Committee Secretary
DATE: July 19, 2001
SUBJECT: Minutes from July 19, 2001 meeting
Present: Dr. Hal Miller, Dr. Barb Lindman, Matt Hill, Dr.
Tim "i i linson, Dr. Susan Johnson, Monica Groves,
Steve Morrow, Kay Stroyny, Mark Baden, Jane
Goedeke, Dr, Gerry Bouma, Dr. Doug Huffman and
Dr. Jerry Beilby
Absent: Phil Lacher and Dale Solberg
Visitor: Larry Page
NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE CAMPUS MASTER PLAN PARTNERS & SIRNY ARCHITECTS APP C.14
