If students could get paid higher wages on campus, then
students could work on campus and not need a car.
The department of education demands sophomores to have
a vehicle.
Parking and lounges are a retention issue for students
especially for commuters.
Mark B. would rather expand the parking lots to accom-
modate the number of students than to limit the number of
cars because it affects the quality of life.
The College may have to provide more activities for students
if more students are here on weekends.
The committee would like to find out what the current parking
fee is to obtain a permit and parking lot priority.
The next step: Larry Page handed out a preliminary project
outline to the committee.
Larry would like the committee members to develop their
own department goals. A handout will be sent out before the
September meeting to help develop these goals.
A draft report will be developed from the department goals.
The goals will determine prioritize.
The next meeting will be held in September. The date and time
of the meeting has not been set.
30 October 2001
MEMO TO: Campus Master Plan Committee
FROM: Kay Stroyny, Committee Secretary
DATE: October 30, 2001
SUBJECT: Minutes from October 30, 2001
Present: Dr. Hal Miller, Dr. Barb Lindman, Dr. Tim
Tomlinson, Monica Groves, Mark Baden, Jane
Goedeke, Dr, Gerry Bouma, Dr. _Doug Huffman and
Dr. Jerry Beilby
Absent: Matt Hill, Dr. Susan Johnson and Steve Morrow
New Members: Asa Ferguson and Kevin Robinson
Guest: Larry Page, Partners and Sirny Architects
Handouts: Sample overview of XYZ College Campus Master Plan
Goal Setting - Collegiate Institutional Planning
NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE CAMPUS MASTER PLAN PARTNERS & SIRNY ARCHITECTS APP C.17
