Lindman <br />Michael Ek <br />Guest Present: <br />Mr. Larry Page, Partners & Sirny <br />Doug Schroeder called the meeting to order and opened in <br />prayer. Doug mentioned that Larry Page had made a <br />presentation to the President's cabinet this week and it was <br />well received. Hal Miller mentioned that the Campus Master <br />Plan will be shared with the Board of Trustees at the <br />December meeting. <br />August 7, 2003 minutes were reviewed and approved. <br />Larry Page presented the new proposed plan that encompassed <br />the recommendations from precious Campus Master Plan meet- <br />ings. This was the proposed plan that was presented to the <br />President's Cabinet. Larry noted the changes, which included <br />the drive by the field house and the south part of the campus. <br />A question proposed dealing with a road that at one time went <br />along the property line to the west. This road is no longer <br />there or in use.. There was discussion about the intersection <br />by the ball field and the possibility of moving it slightly to give <br />more space. There was a brief discussion regarding the scene <br />shop and where it was shown on the plan and where it would <br />be relocated in the future. The original entrance gate will be <br />maintained as a symbolic entrance. Larry shared briefly about <br />the walk bridge and design that would go over Snelling. This. <br />would require discussion and planning with the city of Roseville. <br />There are also ADA regulations that impact this subject. <br />Doug Schroeder mentioned the added plan of the decking of the <br />Riley Gym. This is in current discussion at the Cabinet level. <br />This would be two levels with approximately an additional <br />14,000 of finished space. There is most likely asbestos issues <br />that will need to be addressed. The goal would be as we <br />deck the Riley Gym that we raise the money for the field <br />house and other athletic field needs. The need for an elevator <br />in Riley was discussed. Larry Page mentioned, once you do <br />an area of a building you need to bring up to code the <br />area surrounding it. <br />Discussion took place regarding continued growth and how it <br />will be addressed when things get tight as we go through the <br />process. A transition plan needs to be established for Biology, <br />Music; some of the specialty academics. Discussion of class <br />schedules took place and the need to redesign the schedule to <br />fit the needs.
