<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - OCTOBER 29, 2007 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />C. Motion to Authorize Staff to Contract with Barr Enl!ineerinl! Company for <br />the Reyiew of the Enyironmental Characterization of the TCAAP Property <br /> <br />City Engineer Giga sunnnarized that the City Council approved an engineering <br />consultant pool on August 27, 2007 for use on more specialized projects or projects that <br />the City of Roseville's Engineering Department might not have the capacity to assist <br />with. She stated that, based on the review of submittals, staff recommends contracting <br />with Barr Engineering for the review of the environmental characterization of the <br />TCAAP property. She commented that Barr was not the lowest bidder; however, they <br />haye the most TCAAP related experience and provided the most comprehensive proposal. <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden questioned whether this was reimbursable by the deyeloper. <br />City Administrator Wolfe replied it would be. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a <br />motion to Authorize Staff to Contract with Barr Engineering Company for <br />the Review of the Environmental Characterization of the TCAAP Property <br />in an amount not to exceed $37,500. The motion carried unanimously (5- <br />0). <br /> <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Motion to Approye/Deny/Table a Request to Transfer Property ID #28-30- <br />23-33-0030 to the City of New Bril!hton <br /> <br />City Planner Lehnhoff explained that the property owner requested that a property in the <br />City of Arden Hills, be transferred to the City of New Brighton. He stated the 8,712 <br />square foot triangular-shaped property fronts on New Brighton Road south of the railroad <br />tracks. He pointed out the property owner also owns the adj acent property to the south, <br />which is in the City of New Brighton. He explained the transfer process and the timeline. <br />City Planner Lehnhoff stated staff did not have a recommendation on this request. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead commented he was disappointed that the City of New Brighton was <br />not willing to proceed further with the application prior to action being taken by Arden <br />Hills. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councihnember McClung moved and Councihnember Grant seconded a <br />Motion to Deny a Request to Transfer Property ill #28-30-23-33-0030 to <br />the City of New Brighton. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br />
