HILLS <br /> <br /> <br />Client: <br />City of Maplewood <br /> <br />CarMax/Mogren Improvements <br /> <br />Kimley-Horn assisted the City of Maplewood with preliminary design/ <br />feasibility study, final design, and construction phase services for public <br />improvements to support the redevelopment of a 60-acre parcel of land <br />at the northeast quadrant of the Trunk Highway 61 (TH 61) and Beam <br />Avenue intersection. The site is being redeveloped from a golf course to <br />a four lot office/retail development. The scope of the public improvements <br />Included the following: <br /> <br />. 1,500 linear feet of urban street <br />. 1,500 linear feet of sanitary sewer <br />. 1,500 linear feet of water main <br />. Storm drainage improvements including the construction of two ponds <br />. Three traffic signals <br />. Reconstruction and widening of 2,000 linear feet of Beam Avenue <br /> <br />The overall scope and design of the public improvements was closely <br />coordinated with the project developer. The design of improvements <br />along Beam Avenue and TH 61 was closely coordinated with Ramsey <br />County and Mn/DOT. The project also included significant coordination <br />with the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District since a Watershed <br />ditch system runs through the project area. We also assisted city staff <br />by providing services to review plans and design information for the <br />associated private development improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />Location: <br />Maplewood, MN <br /> <br />Services: <br />Preliminary and final design and construction <br />phase services for new roadway construction <br />and widening; utility (sanitary sewer, water <br />main, and storm sewer) improvements; <br />construction of two ponds; and installation of <br />three traffic signals <br /> <br />1iI""1_....
