November 11, 2007 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes PLANNING CASE # 07-025 - ZONING CODE TEXT AMENDMENT FOR RV STORAGE; CITY OF ARDEN HILLS; 1245 WEST HIGHWAY 96- PUBLIC HEARING Mr. Lehnhoff provided background information, stated there was a work session prior to this meeting, and there are remaining items to be worked on. Chair Sand opened the floor to Commission questions. Chair Sand opened the public hearing at 9:40 p.m. Chair Sand invited anyone for or against the application to come forward and make comment. Steve Gericke, ] 840 W. County Road E, stated there has been progress since the last proposal. He stated the definition of an RV shouldn't include boat lifts. Chair Sand stated boat lifts were discussed at the work session. Mr. Gericke inquired about the number ofRVs allowed. Mr. Lehnhoff stated at the work session they discussed separating out the types of R V s by using different defmitions. Commissioner Holewa inquired how many RV's Mr. Gericke would like. Mr. Gericke stated he would like there to be a maximum of one RV. He inquired about the sideyard setbacks from easements. Mr. Lehnhoff stated he would need to look at the specific property. Mr. Gericke stated he would like RVs to be blocked from view. He passed out a picture of the R V s on his neighbor's property. Lisa Abraham, 35]] Siems Court, stated she was confused about which information is the current information. Ms. Beekman stated the website contains the current code and the proposed codes. Ms. Abraham inquired about boat lifts and where they can be placed on the property. She stated ifthey are included, they should consider requiring the removal of the canopies. She stated she is concerned about the ten foot setback.
