<br />Commissioner Stodola inquired if it would be possible for Mr. Gonzalez to sell <br />only one of his parcels. Mr. Gonzalez stated it would be theoretically possible. <br /> <br />Commissioner Larson stated it is not the intent to penalize people that own lake <br />shore property and Staff could work on specific situations. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Gonzalez stated some ofthe neighbors store RVs for people who don't live <br />on the property. Ms. Beekman stated that is prohibited and would be a violation. <br /> <br />Mr. Gonza]ez inquired if it would be possible to allow for the storage of one other <br />RV, not owned by the owner ofthe property, such as a family member's. <br />Commissioner Larson stated it isn't possible to allow property owners to store <br />some people's RVs and not others. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman stated that unless it is reported to the City, then <br />nobody would know whether the RV was owned by the property owner or not. <br /> <br />Matt Trites, ]850 Indian Place, stated he is in support of the proposed ordinance. <br />He stated he is the neighbor of Mr. Gericke and they are in compliance with the <br />amount of allowed vehicles and RVs. He stated he would like to have a <br />conditional use permit available for a height in excess of]2 feet. <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated at the work session they discussed the height allowed. <br /> <br />Ms. Beekman stated the variance process would be available for anyone who <br />wanted a height beyond what the ordinance states. She stated a hardship would <br />need to be shown for the height. <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated ] 2 feet high is to the top of the R V without mechanical <br />equipment. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman stated there are State regulations for the height. <br /> <br />Chair Sand closed the public hearing at 8:]] p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson requested that the language in the proposed ordinance <br />should state "six foot privacy fence" and "administrative land use permit" <br />throughout the ordinance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson moved, seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman, to <br />recommend approval of Planning Case #07-025, Zoning Code Text Amendment <br />for RV Storage; City of Arden Hills; ]245 West Highway 96 with the updates <br />discussed, December 5, 2007 report. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (6-0). <br />
