<br />Timeline of Public Process to Date <br /> <br />Below is a brief summary of discussions to date regarding the State Highway 10 and County <br />Road 96 Improvement projeet: <br /> <br />. Engineering Consultants SEH met with the City Couneil in March to gain an <br />understanding of the Council's goals and pnontles relating to the intersection <br />improvements, and well as to brainstom1 with the Council regarding city-wide <br />transportation issues <br /> <br />. SEH dcveloped several coneepts that were presented to Council and some were <br />considered "viable" and others "non-viable" (though not unanimous) <br /> <br />. Background inlilrInation and multiple concepts were presentcd at a public open house on <br />March 29, 2007. Community feedback was received at the meeting and following the <br />meeting, results were compiled and shared with Council <br /> <br />. Council held additional work sessions in April and May to continue discussing the <br />project, and requested the developmcnt of another concept option. One of the primary <br />goals of the new concept was to limit as much as possible impacts on the "triangle" <br />bordered by Highway 10, County Road 96, and 1-35W (ineluding several single family <br />homes. the Arden Manor development, and a few businesses,) <br /> <br />. The Mayor and City Councilmember Holden attended a meeting with MnDOT to explore <br />the possibility of Highway 10 being downgraded to a local road, without connection to 1- <br />694 and 1-35W <br /> <br />. The ncw concept lilr Highway 10 and County Road 96, along with a proposed <br />Resolution, were discussed at a May 14, 2007 work session. Council requested <br />additional changes to the concept and requestcd changes to the proposed Resolution in <br />support of the project <br /> <br />. Council received a lcttcr li'om MnDOT Area Manager Chris Roy, explaining the MnDOT <br />position that Trunk Highway 10 remain a connector betwecn 1-694 and 1-35W <br /> <br />. SEH made requested changes to the concept and drafts werc forwarded to Council on <br />May 2 I, 2007: <br /> <br />. City staff mct with represcntatives of Scherer Brothers and rcviewcd the most recent <br />eonccpt plan. Thcy sccmed comliJrtablc with the access provided to thcir business. Staff <br />also shared the concept with rcpresentatives of All Parks Alliance till' Change (APAC), in <br />their on-going efl(Jrts to sharc intill'lnation with the Arden Manor community, <br /> <br />. May 29, 2007 - the City Council was to adopt Resolution 07-61 supp0l1ing a concept <br />plan tor the State Highway 10 and County Road 96 improvement project, A motion to <br />table this item carried unanimously, <br />
