<br /> <br /> <br />Roundabouts can be used even on <br />high~volume intersections and often <br />perform better than intersections with <br />signal systems. <br /> <br />Transportation, Transit, Parking, Accessibility, and Non- <br />motorized Facilities <br /> <br />This analysis win examine existing conditions and propose strategies and <br />designs that address specific transportation issues that arise through the <br />planning process, which should include transportation, transit, parking <br />needs, non- motorized (pedestrian) facilities, and overall accessibility to <br />and in the B-2 Dislrict. An allalysis of current traffic and potential transit <br />options will be used to inform the future land use plan. This analysis <br />should go beyond an inventory of existing conditions and make <br />recommendations for current and future congestion mitigation efforts. <br /> <br /> <br />This task will include: <br /> <br />. Perform a site visit to inventory existing conditions of the <br />vehicular, pedestrian, and transit systems. <br /> <br />Work with the design team to develop enhanced pedestrian and <br />transit systcms for the redevelopment area. <br /> <br />Coordinate with public agency slaff and the team. This includes <br />attcndance at three day time meetings. <br /> <br />. The key intersections that will be impacted by Ihe redevelopment <br />are: <br />o W Co Rd E / Hamline Avo western ramp, <br />o W Co Rd E / Hamline Ave eastern ramp, <br />o W Co Rd E / Pine Tree Drive, <br />o W Co Rd E / Lexington Ave, <br />o Lexington Ave I Harriet Ave. <br /> <br />Request existing traffic data for area roadways and key <br />intersections from Ramsey County and Mn/DOT. P.M. peak hour <br />counts will be collected at the key intersections where Ramsey <br />County and Mn/DOT do not have current data. <br /> <br />Calculate existing p.m. peak hour Levels of Service for the study <br />intersections with Synchro software. Simulate the existing <br />conditions with SimTraffic software to identify the traffic <br />interaction between the intersections. <br /> <br />4-10 Arden Hills Small Area Plan for the 82 District <br />
