Defuutions. <br /> (a) Corporation counseL Wherever the term "corporation coun- <br /> I $el" is used in the fire code, it shall be deemed to mean the <br /> attorney for the city. <br /> (b) Jurisdiction. Wherever the word "jurisdiction" is used in <br /> the fire code, it shall be deemed to mean the City of Arden Hills. <br /> (Ord. No. 229, § 2, 10-11-83) <br /> <br /> Sec. 9-33. Enforcement. <br /> (a) Enforcing officer. The chief of the fire department serving <br /> the city, or a representative designated by him, shall enforce the <br /> provisions of this article and the fire code. <br /> (b) Inspectors. The chief of the fire department may designate <br /> such members of the fire department as inspectors as he shall <br /> from time to time deem to be necessary. He may recommend the <br /> employment of technical inspectors, who, when such authoriza- <br /> tion has been made, shall be selected through an examination to <br /> determine their fitness for the position. The examination shall be <br /> open to members and nonmembers of the fire department, and <br /> appointments made after examination shall be for an indefinite <br /> term with removal only for cause. (Ord. No. 229, § 3, 10-11-83) <br /> Sec. 9-34. Penalties. <br /> Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of the fire <br /> code hereby adopted or fail to comply therewith, or who shall <br /> violate or fail to comply with any order made thereunder, or who ~ <br /> shall build in violation of any detailed statement of specifications <br /> or plans submitted and approved thereunder, or any certificate or <br /> permit issued thereunder, and from which no appeal has been <br /> taken, or who shall fail to comply with such an order as aff'lrmed <br /> or modified by the city council or by a court of competent jurisdic- i <br /> tion, within the time fixed herein, shall severally for each and I <br /> every such violation and noncompliance respectively, be guilty of ~ <br /> a misclemeanor, punishable as provided in section 1-10.
