<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> § 19-8 ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> b. Employees shall be granted a rest break not to exceed <br /> fifteen (15) minutes away from job duties on two (2) <br /> separate occasions during each work shift and one-half <br /> (1/2) hour unpaid lunch break. <br /> ' (6) Hourly and daily rates. The appointing authority may au- <br /> thorize the payment of hourly rates of pay for classes of <br /> positions when conditions of employment warrant such ac- <br /> tion. Such hourly rate shall be determined by dividing the <br /> annual salary by the actual number of work hours in the <br /> calendar year. (Ord. No. 275, 1-2-91) <br /> <br /> Sec. 19-9. Conflict of interest. <br /> It is expected that every employee shall exercise good judgment <br /> in avoiding involvement with conflicting outside business inter- <br /> ests or the business interests of coworkers or subordinates such <br /> that these interests conflict with the conduct of city business. <br /> These include but are not limited to the following: <br /> (1) Those in which an employee has afinancial interest in or <br /> receives benefits from a business which they may be able to <br /> favor with city business by reason of their employment <br /> with the city. <br /> (2) Employees and department heads conducting personal busi- <br /> , ness on city time and department heads who knowingly <br /> allow subordinates to conduct personal business on city <br /> time. <br /> (3) Those in which an employee accepts full or parttime work <br /> elsewhere where such activity interferes with their duties <br /> and performance of their job with the city. Performance evaluation. <br /> <br /> (a) There shall be a minimum of one (1) written performance ' <br /> review on an annual basis for all regular fulltime, regular part- <br /> time and probationary employees.
