<br /> I <br /> <br /> <br /> PERSONNEL POLICY FOR CITY EMPLOYEES § 19-20 <br /> <br /> during a period of unpaid Ieave of absence. Employees shall not <br /> be credited with service accrual while on unpaid leave of absence. <br /> During the first calendar month or portion thereof during which <br /> an employee began an unpaid leave of absence, the employee may <br /> elect to be covered by group health insurance but will be respon- <br /> sible for paying one hundred (100) per cent of the premium costs. <br /> Any exceptions to this policy will require the approval of the city <br /> council. <br /> (c) Unpaid leave of absence shall require the advance written <br /> approval of the clerk administrator based upon the recommenda- <br /> tion of the employee's department head. (Ord. No. 275, 1-2-91) <br /> Sec. 19-18. Jury duty. <br /> (a) An employee required to serve as a juror or under subpoena <br /> as a witness in court shall be granted leave of absence with pay <br /> while serving such capacity. Such employee shall receive the <br /> amount of the difference between the employee's regular salary <br /> and jury duty pay.or fees received for service. An employee cannot <br /> receive more than the employee's normal take-home pay as a <br /> I result of any city pay supplement to jury duty pay. <br /> (b) If the jury is dismissed prior to the end of the employee's <br /> workday, the employee will report to work if practicable. (Ord. <br /> No. 275, 1-2-91) <br /> Sec. 19-19. Parental leave. ' <br /> <br /> Parental leave in conjunction with the birth or adoption of a <br /> child shall be in accordance with state statutes. (Ord. No. 275, <br /> 1-2-91) ' <br /> <br /> Sec. 19•20. Holidays. <br /> ~ (a) The following eleven (I1) eight-hour days shall be observed ~ <br /> as paid holidays for regular fulltime employees and prorated for <br /> regular parttime employees. Temporary employees are not eli- <br /> gible for paid holidays. No holiday pay shall be given any em- <br /> I ployee working less than twenty (20) hours a week. New em- <br /> ployees working at least twenty (20) hours a week shall receive I <br /> Supp. No. 21 <br /> 1113 <br />
