<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> § 19-20 ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> holiday pay based on the work schedule for which they have been <br /> hired: <br /> <br /> (1) New Year's Day, January 1; <br /> (2) Martin Luther King's Birthday, observed the third Monday <br /> in January (hourly employees are not paid for this holiday); <br /> (3) President's Day, the third Monday in February; <br /> (4) Memorial Day, the last Monday in May; <br /> <br /> (5) Independence Day, July 4; <br /> (6) Labor Day, the first Monday in September; <br /> (7) Veterans Day, November 11; <br /> (8) Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November; <br /> <br /> (9) The Friday after Thanksgiving Day; <br /> (10) One-half (1(2) day on Christmas Eve; one-half (1/2) day on <br /> New Year's Eve; <br /> (11) Christmas Day, December 25; <br /> (12) One (1) floating holiday (except probationary employees). <br /> <br /> (b) When New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day or <br /> Christmas Day fall on Sunday, the following Monday shall be a <br /> holiday. When New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day <br /> or Christmas Day fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be <br /> a holiday. Floating holidays must have prior approval of the em- <br /> ployee's supervisor. (Ord. No. 275, 1-2-91) <br /> Sec. 19-21. Severance pay. <br /> <br /> Regular fulltime employees who have completed ten (10) or <br /> more years of continuous service with the city and who are leaving <br /> the city's employment in good standing will receive a percentage <br /> of their unused accumulated sick leave upon retirement or layoff. <br /> This severance pay benefit will be thirty-three and one-third (331/3) <br /> per cent of the employee's unused accumulated sick Ieave to a <br /> maximum benefit of forty (40) days (three hundred twenty (320) <br /> hours) of pay.
