<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SIGNS § 21-4 <br /> (20) Wall graphics. A design or illustration painted directly <br /> upon an exterior wall surface intended to create a <br /> decorative effect. The wall graphic may or may not be . <br /> of an advertising nature. <br /> (21) Types of signs by Tunction: <br /> <br /> (a) Aduertising signs. A billboard, sign or other <br /> communicative device which directs attention to a <br /> business, product or service not exclusively related <br /> to the premise upon which the sign is located. <br /> (b) Area identification sign. A freestanding sign <br /> located on the identified premises which identifies <br /> the name of a residential subdivision consisting of <br /> thirty (30) or more lots; a multiple residential <br /> complex consisting of three (3) or more principal <br /> structures; an office, business or industrial struc- <br /> ture containing two (2) or more independent <br /> concerns; a single business and/or industrial <br /> complex consisting of three (3) or more separate <br /> structures existing on individual platted lots or as <br /> a planned unit development; or any integrated <br /> combination of the above. <br /> (c) Business sign. A sign which identifies a business <br /> or profession conducted or promotes a product or <br /> service offered or sold upon the premise where the <br /> sign is located. <br /> (d) Construction sign. A temporary sign placed at a <br /> construction site identifying the project, name of <br /> the architect, engineer, contractor, financier or <br /> other involved parties. <br /> (e) Directional sign. Incidental signs designed to <br /> guide or direct pedestrians or vehicular traffic on <br /> the premises upon which the sign is located. Such <br /> sign may include the identification of the busi- <br /> ness, industry, institution or residential complex <br /> to which it applies, but shall not include <br /> advertising copy. <br /> (f) Garage sale sign.
