<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> § 21-4 ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> (g) Informational sign. A sign giving information to <br /> employees, visitors or delivery vehicles on the <br /> premises upon which the sign is located. Such <br /> sign may include the identification of the busi- <br /> ness, industry, institution or residential complex <br /> to which it applies, but shall not include <br /> advertising copy. <br /> (h) Institutional sign. A sign which identifies the <br /> name and other characteristics of a public or <br /> semi-public institution on the site where the sign <br /> is located. <br /> (i) Personal identification sign. A sign which iden- <br /> tifiea the name(s), address(es), and/or occupa- <br /> tion(s) of the occupant(s) of the premises on which <br /> the sign is located. <br /> (j) Political sign. A temporary sign promoting the <br /> interests of bona fide candidates for elective, <br /> political office or for promoting an election issue. <br /> (k) Public sign. A sign erected by a governmental <br /> Z unit for directing traffic, issuing warnings, <br /> identifying locations or for other official identifi- <br /> cation. <br /> (1) Real estate sign. A temporary sign erected for <br /> purposes of advertising for sale, rent or lease a <br /> particular building and/or parcel of property. <br /> (m) Special euents sign. A temporary sign advertising <br /> an event or program sponsored by the city, a <br /> school, a church, or civic organization; a tem- <br /> porary sign for a grand opening, special sale or <br /> similar event related to a commercial establish- <br /> ment. <br /> (n) Street directory sign. A sign identifying the <br /> addresses of five (5) or more dwellings which are <br /> located on a cul-de-sac or other dead-end street. <br /> (22) Types of signs by structure or design: <br /> (a) Animated sign. A sign which creates an effect of <br /> action or motion. This definition shall not include <br /> banners, pennants, flags, or flashing signs or <br /> rotating signa. <br /> Supp. No. 3 <br /> 1220 <br />
